Apple’s Latest Update for Apple TV brought a few new apps to the service. The one that caught this geek’s attention was Crunchyroll. It’s an app that gives users streams of several popular Japanese TV shows. Most of what’s available is animé. It’s what many folks Stateside call Japanese animation, or “Japanimation” if they aren’t familiar with it. I’m not what you’d call a huge animé fan, but that’s probably why I like this service so much....

Huzzah! With just the quick flick of a switch in your settings tab, Dark Mode does precisely as the name implies and adjusts the color of your screen giving you a white text on black background display for a darker in-app experience. Dark Mode is a standard option in the settings menu on the latest iPhone 11 range – or if you’re running iOS 13 or Android 10, but then it doesn’t turn on by itself, which just means that you’ll have to go to settings to make the leap....

Gamescom 2019 has brought with it a wealth of exclusive premieres, the most highly-anticipated of which has potentially been the Death Stranding presentation helmed by none other than Hideo Kojima himself. Kojima took the stage to show off some new characters, including Del Toro’s Deadman and Qualley’s Mama. The CW has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths. Premiering later this year, Crisis on Infinite Earths will unite all the shows in The CW’s Arrowverse - Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman - for a crossover event that’s expected to dramatically alter the future of the whole shared universe. In addition to characters from every Arrowverse show, Crisis on Infinite Earths is also including iconic DC Comics characters from other, non-Arrowverse shows, like Smallville and Black Lightning....
